The Grand Central District is located 14 blocks from downtown St Petersburg and is adjacent to the Warehouse Arts District and Historic Kenwood. The Historic Kenwood neighborhood was voted amongst the top ten cottage communities in the county and is experiencing an influx of the “creative class” from around the country. The Warehouse Arts District consists of hundreds of nationally and locally recognized artists representing the full spectrum of the visual arts. The Arts Exchange, a city sponsored initiative, just recently opened 111000 sf of studio space of an ultimate 501000 sf programs to encourage future development of the arts within the district. The Factory, a creative incubator, consisting of 8 warehouses over 6.5 acres is imminent as well as many other arts and entertainment arts related venues. As a result of these development trends, Grand Central is quickly becoming the center of gravity for arts and entertainment within St Petersburg as well as the region as a whole. As an example, the 351000 sf Imagine Museum recently opened its doors featuring an amazing portfolio of “American Art” created by the founders, teachers, current and emerging artists working in the field of studio glass.

All your needs can be satisfied within its boundaries and walking distance of one another including a delightful mix of eclectic restaurants, entertainment venues, beverages, fitness, yoga studios and other services that are known to be local favorites. If you want variety and would like to venture out to the festivities of downtown, you can leave your car behind and catch the Grand Central Trolley right outside your door. The Trolley will connect you to downtown, the beaches, or you can alternatively walk a block to the Coast Bike Share Station that has 30 local stations. Opening soon within the district will be 800 new apartments, a

Tru Hotel, a 101000-sf destination brewery/restaurant, a newly renovated boutique hotel with several bars, a golf themed “Par Bar” and multiple restaurants. Several town home projects have been announced including Ad Lofts at 2250 Central Ave. that will consist of 7 luxury loft homes and 51000 sf of retail. Investors from all over are coming with new exciting plans.

All in all, Grand Central is the cool, local, cultured, exciting, fun place to visit, create and call home.
